A memorandum of understanding was signed this week between the governments of Mozambique and Portugal. The objective of this memorandum is to speed up the process for Mozambican citizens who travel to Portugal for work.
The announcement of the memorandum of understanding that will facilitate the process of moving Mozambican citizens to Portugal for work was made on Saturday. The Ministry of Labor and Social Security of Mozambique revealed that the memorandum will be signed during the working visit of the Mozambican minister Margarida Adamugi Talapa to Portugal, from 11 to 13 September. The invitation to visit was made by Ana Mendes Godinho, Talapa's Portuguese counterpart.
The main objective of the trip is to finalize the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Labor and Social Security of Mozambique and the Ministry of Labor, Solidarity and Social Security of Portugal. The memorandum concerns the topic of labor mobility and creates an opportunity for Mozambican citizens to work in Portugal.
