The Moamba toll station, in Maputo province, implemented new fees, resulting in changes to tariffs.
Class 1 cars will now pay 240 meticais, an increase from the previous rate of 210 meticais. Likewise, class 2 cars will see their fees increase from 530 to 600 meticais. Class 3 cars will have to pay 1,200 meticais instead of the previous 1,150 meticais, while class 4 vehicles will have to pay an increase from 1,600 to 1,800 meticais.
Fenias Mazive, the manager of TRAC – the concessionary company responsible for national road number 4 – gave an explanation for this tariff adjustment.
It is important to note that these new tariffs do not apply to semi-collective transport or public transport services that pass through the Moamba toll gate.
