According to Rádio Moçambique, the systems will benefit more than two thousand families who were victims of Cyclone Idai and were resettled there.
The Minister of Public Works, Housing and Water Resources, Carlos Mesquita, who inaugurated the systems, appealed to the population to rationally use water.
“Water is the source of life, no matter who we are, no matter what we do, no matter where we come from. We depend on water to live. It is a scarce resource and is strategic for our development. Therefore, it is necessary to save and use it rationally”, he said.
The water infrastructures, inaugurated this Saturday, in the district of Búzi, are part of the systems built in the districts of Dondo and Nhamatanda, financed by the African Development Bank (ADB).
