The Mozambique-Vietnam Bilateral Chamber of Commerce was officially presented.
The presentation ceremony was witnessed by the Vice-President of the People's Republic of Vietnam, Vo Thi Anh Xuan, visiting the country, with the support of CTA and the Ministry of Industry and Commerce who were represented by President Agostinho Vuma and Minister Silvino Moreno , respectively.
In addition to the delegation accompanying the Vice-President of Vietnam, Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan, Vice Minister of Commerce and Industry of the People's Republic of Vietnam, was present at the meeting.
Addressing those present, Arlindo Duarte, President of the Mozambique-Vietnam Chamber, said: “We firmly believe that this visit by the Vice-President is of significant importance and, in fact, can be considered a milestone in the already established diplomatic and economic relations between the two countries. Our mission as a chamber is direct and profound: to foster and strengthen economic ties between Mozambique and Vietnam. Our aim is to facilitate trade, investment and collaboration that will not only benefit our businesses, but also contribute significantly to the growth and prosperity of our countries.”
Arlindo Duarte argued that the chamber's vision is centered on the belief in the potential for cooperation between Mozambique and Vietnam. “We will seek to leverage our collective strengths, promote bilateral trade and unlock opportunities for our members. Through strategic partnerships and the exchange of knowledge and resources, we aim to accelerate economic development and create an environment conducive to business development.”
Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan, Deputy Minister of Commerce and Industry of the People's Republic of Vietnam, stated that her country welcomed the chamber positively as it will help in the implementation of more projects.
“The global investments we have in many countries include Mozambique where we have approximately three projects. And we still don't have any Mozambican company investing in Vietnam. We would like that to happen. We will take the message to Vietnam. Meanwhile, we request that the Mozambican government facilitate construction land and visas for workers and investors from Vietnam.” (RM)
