As reported by the newspaper Notícias, the city of Pemba is currently experiencing a shortage of traffic lights that regulate the circulation of both pedestrians and vehicles. This shortage is due to the rampant theft of electrical conductors that power traffic lights.

Of the total of five traffic lights installed in the city, only two currently work poorly. Residents of the capital of Cabo Delgado have expressed their concerns about this persistent issue and are looking for viable solutions.
