In the repetition of the draw for the municipal elections on October 11, the Mozambique Democratic Movement (MDM), the second largest opposition party in the country, maintained first place in the fiscal risk report.
Renamo, the first largest opposition party, now occupies second place, with the ruling party, Frelimo, in third.
Both Frelimo and Renamo, along with MDM, have seats in parliament. As a result, they are given priority in the draw process. This means that they are drawn first and separately from other parties, coalitions and associations.
In the draw, the União Eleitoral (UE) coalition occupies fourth place and the last party to register, the Democratic Revolution (RD), occupies last.
Today's draw took place after the annulment of the first one held on August 29th following the ruling of the Constitutional Council that ordered the National Elections Commission to receive RD's candidacy for the elections, which that electoral body had rejected.
In the canceled draw, MDM had occupied first place, Frelimo second and Renamo third.
In the draw for antenna space on public radio and television for each competitor during the days of the campaign that starts on the 26th of the current month, on the first day RD takes first place, followed by MDM. The Party for the Progress of the People of Mozambique (PPPM) comes in third place.
Renano is in sixth place and Frelimo in tenth.
