Rady Gramane African boxing champion

Mozambican international boxer Rady Gramane reclaimed, yesterday, the title of continental champion in the -75kg category, after victory in the “African” boxing final, in Yaoundé, Cameroon.

Thus, Rady returns home with the coveted gold medal and asserts herself as the best African boxer in her category in recent years.

To achieve the feat, Rady Gramane defeated Nigerian Patrícia Mbata in the grand final that took place at the Sports Palace, in the Cameroonian capital.

Tiago Muxanga, Bernardo Marrime and Alcinda Panguana are the other finalists who, unfortunately, at the end of this edition we still did not have their respective final results.

Yassine Nordine, Armando Sigaúque, Solomone Júlio, Isabel Mulungo and Benilde Macaringue secured bronze medals.

Helena Bagão, having been in the first round, is the only one of the 10 boxers who returns without a medal.

However, the African Boxing Confederation increased the prize pool, with the gold medal being awarded with a monetary value of 20 thousand dollars, compared to 10 thousand in the last edition. The silver medal costs 15 thousand dollars (compared to the previous five thousand) and the bronze medal costs five thousand, compared to last year's 2500.
