This year, close to ten thousand disadvantaged people benefited from legal assistance in the province of Sofala, an increase of twenty-four percent compared to the same period last year.
In 2022, close to seven thousand and nine hundred people were assisted, according to data provided by the provincial delegate of the Institute of Sponsorship and Legal Assistance (IPAJ).
Gabriel Salato, who was speaking as part of the activities commemorating the institution's twenty-ninth anniversary, points out the cases of a social and labor nature as those that stand out.
He explains that the increase in assisted citizens is the result of an effort made by the government, which includes expanding the territorial coverage of IPAJ delegations.
Lectures and radio programs about the role of IPAJ and paradigms of legal and judicial assistance in the context of materializing the rights of vulnerable citizens mark the institution's week in Sofala. (RM)
