Mozambican sailors Alcídio Lino and Denise Paruque were removed from the Sailing World Championship due to a lack of material to assemble the boat.
According to what “Notícias” found from the president of the Mozambican Sailing and Canoeing Federation, Alberto da Rosa, the pair of sailors disembarked in the Netherlands (Holland), where the competition has been taking place, since August 11th, on the 9th, but the material it was carrying (in the hold) was never delivered by the airline that transported it from Maputo to that European country.
With the departure of Denise and Alcídio, Deyse Nhaquile is the only sailor in the “World Cup”.
